Name Our Class Pet!

So...everyone should know by now that I do NOT do living things! :) BUT...I'm not opposed to a class pet when it's NON-living! Special thanks to our PTA for donating our new pet to our class. We will be using it in place of our BOR-ING bean bag when we read as a class.

So here's your challenge...think of a really cool name! Comment below to leave me your ideas!

Autobiographies

We have been working on our autobiographies for the last couple of weeks, and I would like to get some feedback from you! What has been your favorite chapter so far? Do you have suggestion for a chapter that you would like to write about? Let me know what you are thinking!

Blood Models....EWWWWW!!

We are currently studying life science...particularly the circulatory system and blood, so we made a model of the components of blood. For the plasma, we used corn syrup; for red blood cells, we used red hots; for the white blood cells, we used mini marshmallows and for the platelets, we used rice. It was really, really disgusting, so of course, the kids loved it! Thanks, Jake, for showing us yours! :)

TV or no TV? That is the question...

This morning on the way to school, I heard a debate on the radio as to whether families should have TVs in their home. What do you think? Should every home have a TV or more than one TV? Should you be able to have a TV in your bedroom? What are some benefits of NOT having a TV in your home? Let me know what you think!
